Mille Johansson from Sweden drove the final round in this year’s Junior ERC in Hungary this weekend. Together with co-driver Johan Grönvall, they set several top times, but lost time due to a puncture and finished sixth.

– The last ERC-rally of the season went okey, considering the puncture. We showed good speed in this tough rally against tough competition from drivers who have run this rally several times. I had former world champion Pontus Tidemand on site as a coach, which was rewarding the last day where I tried a different driving technique that led to better stage times, says Mille.

– It has been a good weekend apart from the fact that we unfortunately got a puncture again. We are a few more experiences richer that we can take with us to next season, says Johan.

Mille and Johan finish eighth in this year’s Junior ERC, their first season in the championship where they competed together with the Slovenian team IKsport. They have taken several stage victories and challenged for the podium places, but had some problems and bad luck that stopped them from claiming the best positions.

– This season has been very intense, fun and above all useful for our next adventure. A big thank you to everyone who made it possible. Now we look ahead to next season, which we will do even better, concludes Mille.
