Mille Johansson from Sweden is driving the final round of the FIA Junior ERC. Together with co-driver Johan Grönvall, Rally Hungary awaits this weekend.

Mille and Johan are tenth in the standings after a partly tough debut season in the ERC.

I am satisfied with the season so far. At times we have shown good speed on both gravel and tarmac. It has been incredibly educational and very rewarding for the future. We’ve had a bit of a fluke, which has meant that we haven’t quite got a good result. But that comes with experience, says Mille.

– I look back on the season as very educational. We’ve had some bad luck and a few mistakes, but we’ve learned a lot from each rally. We have set a lot of good times during the events, which is really fun to look back on, says Johan.

Before the final, Mille and Johan have changed car, to an Opel Corsa Rally4. Two weeks ago, Mille debuted the car in the Slovenian championship and finished second. Hungary is the first time they drive the car in the European Championship, together with their team IKsport from Slovenia.

– The feeling is good. It feels like I have a good grasp of how the car works, so it will be fun to attack these Hungarian roads that have their own special character, continues Mille.

Rally Hungary starts with a spectator stage on Friday evening and is decided over a total of 12 stages with the finish on Sunday. In the Junior ERC, a total of 9 cars will start, with Mille and Johan being the only Swedes this weekend.

– This weekend we will enjoy and have fun. We have no result to drive for, so we will take the car to the finish line and learn as much as possible, concludes Mille.
