This weekend, rally driver Mille Johansson from Sweden is back in the Slovenian Rally Championship, where he started his international career last year. In Rally Nova Gorcia, Mille, this time together with the Danish co-driver Ditte Kammersgaard, he makes his rehearsal before the final of the Junior ERC in Hungary in a few weeks. It is also the first rally in his new car, an Opel Corsa Rally4.

– It’s fun to be back in Slovenia and to the rally we led last year before an off. There are also 27 Rally4 cars from 17 different nations in the competition, so it won’t be an easy match. It will be fun to try another car and see how it feels compared to the Ford we have driven for the past two years, says Mille.

Mille is running the rally together with the IKsport team from Slovenia as a test and evaluation of the new car, a front-wheel drive Opel Corsa Rally4, before the final round of this year’s Junior ERC.

– If everything is working well, we should probably be able to challenge for the top position, but the goal will be to feel good in the car. If it feels good, we will also drive the Opel in the last European competition in Hungary, concludes Mille.

Rally Nova Gorcia starts from the town of Nova Gorcia on the border with Italy. The rally is run on tarmac and starts with a spectator stage on Friday evening, a total of 15 stages await before the finish on Sunday.
