Mille Johansson and Johan Grönvall continue their campaign in the Italian Gravel Championship together with Italian team MS Munaretto. At this weekend’s Rally Adriatico, they brought their Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 on Hankook tires to a sixth-place overall finish and second place in the U25 class, after a strong recovery from a challenging start.
The rally began with some early issues, but after a solid finish, the duo were able to bring home valuable experience and a strong result ahead of upcoming events.
– ”A strong recovery in Rally Adriatico! We started the first stage with a good feeling but spun in a hairpin and had to reverse. On the second stage, we had to stop mid-stage because of a car blocking the road. We struggled a bit to find grip in the second loop, but in the third loop everything felt really good again and we were back fighting for the top positions. Now a week of rest before we head to Portugal for the next round of the Junior WRC,” says Mille.
The next major challenge will be Rally de Portugal next weekend – round two of the Junior WRC, where Mille and Johan lead the championship after their strong performance in the opening round at Rally Sweden earlier this year.
